Justin, Trevor, Kristen, and I spent the fourth of July (U.S. Independence Day), July 5th with Cora and her kids Julianna, Christiana, and Micah at San Onofre State Beach. San Onofre Beach is situated near the Nuclear Power plant, right at the border of San Diego and Orange County along the coast.
What a delight for the kids to spend time and get to know each other. The beach was great, with hardly any beach combers competing for space, just an occasional surfer or coastal fishers in sight.
Camp was right along the edge of the park, with Coastal train passing by, or cars zooming up down Highway 5 was somewhat of a nuisance. Otherwise it was a great camp, with various camp recipes cooked up by me and Cora: Lemon Garlic Shrimp, Hish Kebobs, Corn on the cobs, Citrus flavored chicken on the menu.
Thanks Cora for a great time. let's plan something out for Spring or Summer 2008, when you come down San Diego for your Summer vacation again. This time, let's plan it when Henry's
in town, so it would be a great family camp.
Julius
