Justin and Trevor's 2007 Birthday

June 3, 2007

We celebrated Justin and Trevor's Birthday today June 3rd, 2007.
Justin's birthday is May 30h and Trevor's is June 3rd. Both
didn't mind celebrating their birthdays together.

Justin tagged my shirt and pulled me aside to express how happy
he is for my presence on their Birthday Celebration and said "Dad
this is THE happiest birthday celebration I have ever had.Thank you for the gifts and most of all your presence. I couldn't ask for more".

I replied, "Son, you know I'll do anything to make your birthday celebration,
and any occasion a happy one".

Then he ran along and entertained his playmate guest friends.

The Birthday Party had the usual elements of a typical Birthday celebration,
blowing the Birthday Cake candles,
striking the Pinata to get candy treats, opening of gifts.

I'll cherish these moments of my life. I have been told, enjoy these moments
now because they grow fast. Let's just say, I realized and figured that out
the hard way.

Lord God, I continue to count your blessings. Thank you.

Spring Camping 2007

Its that time of the year again
when flowers bloom, the early morning dawn is
filled with bird's songs, and
the weather starts to warm up.

What a nice time to enjoy the outdoors
and be in harmony with nature.

I took Justin, Trevor and Kristen to Camping at Bobcat Meadow,
a Campground near the town of Alpine, well within the Cleveland National Forest,
about 55 miles east of San Diego.

As ever, the three kids enjoyed the outdoors.
We climbed a National Forest Tower lookout, and greet the watchtower person, and enjoy the vast open space of mountains below.

We rode a four wheel drive vehicle and went off-road riding at 8 O-clock at night.
What a thrill for me and the kids.

It felt like a short camping trip. Next time we'll make it a longer experience.

Life and Love
-Julius, 29MAY2007

Quote of the day:

"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned,

the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme,

and some stories don't have a clear beginning,

middle, and end.

Life is about not knowing, having to change,

taking the moment and making the best of it,

without knowing what's going to happen next.

Delicious ambiguity".

-Gilda Radner, 1946-1989

I used to think life and love

as that of a perfect storybook,

a nice beginning, an everlasting love

and then a grandeur end.

Then reality hits, life after

all is not perfect. Somewhere along the way

change happens whether good or bad.

An answer is not always ready.

Just make the best of what you have.

Whatever the outcome is, adopt to

change is a necessity.

I tell you, its not easy to adopt.

You just have to do your best, pray to God

for guidance, and hope that tomorrow will

be better than today.

Grace from God, and the love of life will get you there though. It will be your source of strength and inspiration.

An Easter prayer ....

Lord, You hung on the cross and died for our sins ....
on Good Friday
What a gift You gave to us ...
Have mercy for I am just a sinner ...
Please help me realize what sacrifice You did for me
by dying on a tree.

Thank You for dying on the cross
that I may have life, that I may have Salvation

On Easter, you overcame death and bring forth life
enkindle that life in me O Lord
enlighten my life that we may have happiness
teach me to share this happiness to others.

Amen.

don't you cry ....
-Julius , 05APRIL2007

Hush my little Kristen , don't you cry ...
dad will be back by and by...

It breaks my heart when you hide
your face like that.

Not a candy or toy I shall bring,
but of warm hugs, and love tidings.

I love you so much my dear little one,
tomorrow happiness and laughter will reign when our day is done.

Grow my little one, for Dad is here to watch you by

Please, no more tears run down your cheek.

Opening of Christmas gifts

Christmas Eve 2006

At the strike of midnight, December 25, 2006,
everybody headed to the Christmas Tree to open
and present their gifts to loved ones.

Christmas is that time of the year where
we put away are cares and worries and focus
on the birth of our savior. Gift giving often
make us forget about those worries, they enchant the kids,
but it also brings out the kid in our hearts.

Here's a brief video of everyone opening their gifts.
If you can't view it, go to the website:

Christmas 2006

Dear friends,

Hope you all had a great Christmas celebration.
Its that special time of the year to be with
family and friends.

Although some of us, we have to contend with
being on our own this Christmas season.
You know who you are, LOL.

I spent Christmas Eve with Manang Christine,
Carl, Calvin, and Caroline. I drove Carl & Calvin
to LAX then by nightfall, went home to my three kids and Gloria.
Lots of food was prepared so its a blessing to spend
Christmas Eve with Justin, Trevor and Kristen.

I characterize my Christmas as being toned down,
but spiritual. I attended about four Simbang Gabi
masses, and it really brings home the message and
spirit of Christmas.

I hope you all had a great Christmas celebration.
If you don't mind, please post a narration
of how your Christmas Holiday went.
Thanks.

May you all be blessed with a bright New Year as well.
Peace!
